High-Fives

Octopus Books wanted branded content to enhance their online presence. They wanted it to be fun, weird, and highly shareable. They wanted viewers to seek it out, just like readers seek out their books. And they wanted it to promote their most high-profile book, Ben Mirov’s Hider Roser. So they asked Slow Clap to help them out. For us, it was an easy choice. We wanted to adapt Mirov’s most hilarious poem, High-Fives, into a web film using the conventions of narrative filmmaking. From top to bottom, it’s pure entertainment, and it surprises you at the end in a way that makes you think. In every way, it does what Octopus Books’ titles do to readers.
